Online Offline Together
Online Offline Together is a community-focused project developed under the Greater Manchester Live Well framework. It aims to respond to the issue of digital exclusion in Moston through a more holistic understanding of wellbeing, access, and social inclusion. Instead of merely providing computers and internet access, the project acknowledges that individuals who are digitally excluded often encounter a range of interconnected barriers. These include low self-confidence, social isolation, limited access to healthcare and employment services, and intimidating institutional environments.
The project, therefore, combines digital infrastructure with community support, wellbeing-focused design, and adaptable workshop space. The centre integrates information services, workshops that accommodate art and physical workshops, digital skill workshops, talks, community learning spaces, and public gathering areas into a socially supportive environment where residents can access healthcare, employment support, housing advice, education, and digital training.
In this way, the Moston Digital Inclusion Live Well Centre becomes more than a building with computers; it acts as a socially inclusive, environmentally responsive, and community-oriented architecture that supports wellbeing, learning, and belonging within everyday digital life.
