The Monument For The Future Of The North Sea aims to create a new mythology for the North Sea through utilising a digital based methodology. The intention behind the mythology is to warn people in the future about the mistakes we have made today with regards to the energy crisis within the North Sea. The final output for this project is a monument that houses and represents the myths. The monument itself follows a similar digital AI based methodology and has utilised tools such as generative design studies to develop its form. This project seeks to investigate three main questions. Firstly, how can architecture survive for extended periods of time within a harsh environment such as the North Sea? Secondly, can the digital tools that represent our current place in time be used to the same effect as traditional tools such as mosaics, sculptures or painting to convey the messages within mythologies? Lastly, how can myths and warning messages be embodied within architecture?
