Using visual storytelling in a form of townscape perspectives as a design methodology, this project explores how modern development has been transforming once vibrant streets, rich in a variety of architectural ex­pression and engaging streetscapes, into spaces of monotony and similitude.

The experiential nature of established methodology allows to challenge the existing condition of the Arn­dale Centre in Manchester, and seek for the balance between modern commer­cial development and local identity. The project aims to create alternative urban arrangements which retain distinctive streetscape, and above all gen­erate a people-focused experience and a place-specific atmosphere. Re-im­agine a shopping quarter in the heart of Manchester.
