As a designer, I value the historical importance of a space use this as a tool for design in a contemporary context. The process of the design development taught within Continuity in Architecture (CiA) allowed me to further appreciate and understand the role of history in architecture.

The thesis touches on the concept of architecture being intertwined with time and memory making. The project aims to imagine how the elements of a city; movement, public space, dwelling and natural threats such as flooding can be affected over time. The design shows a projection of the development in its present and future years.

A construction of a building starts with a detail. The assembly of a building and understanding materials is something that has helped massively in my design process. Whether it is a university brief or a real practice project, construction in architecture will always play a part in my design process.
