The project is located in Changsha, next to the Xiang River, and across the river with the two halls and halls. The site was originally an industrial area, and the surrounding workers and residents enjoy nice life. With the development and expansion of the city and the decline of the paper industry, the factory buildings are declining and abandoned, and gradually becoming a lost space in the city. How to use this lost space is the focus of this design research. This research starts from the macro perspective of social industrial history and urban fabric, to the discovery and summary of specific problems of the site. And mainly proposes three strategies: 1. Preserve industrial culture (identifiable: use industrial elements); 2. Create a shared and open community attracts more users; 3. Establish a transportation hub: connect the newly-built subway line and the waters of the Xiangjiang River.
