The project began by completing a comprehensive group analysis of Belfast. The group analysis document, along with the chosen theory and individually proposed framework, was then used to help inform an appropriate masterplan proposal for a chosen site and subsequently developing a specific element of the masterplan in greater detail. For this part it was decided that the central urban square of the proposed masterplan would be best to develop further. The result of which is a mixed-use urban city district center, on a brown-field site encompassing differing densities and an appreciation of the rich surrounding maritime history.
