Dan is a tutor in the atelier Some Kind of Nature at Manchester School of Architecture. Dan is also Architect Director of Office Renoso-Urmston, based in Manchester. Over the past few years, he has built an Essentialist Environmental Architectural practice working on large projects across the North West that focus on the future of residential development with a keen focus on the climate emergency. Thusly, Dan has collaborated with a wide variety of professions and boasts a unique network of ecologists, landscape architects, researchers, manufacturers and craftsmen. His early work and interests were in the convergence of art and architecture, working on pavilions and art installations which again show through in his latest work. Currently, Dan is particularly interested in MMCs, carbon counting, modular construction and natural material specification - all of which are prominent themes in his practice’s work.
