The Echo of Ecology
The Echo of Ecology develops a computational design process into an applied ecological city proposal. The project responds to Trafford Park’s fragmented habitats, industrial dominance, and weak ecological connectivity by using ECO-patches as the main organising system for urban transformation.
Through iteration analysis, ECO-patch classification, road generation, and building typology development, the proposal connects landscape, circulation, public space, and architecture into one ecological network. Residential and commercial typologies are redesigned with roof ECO-patches, ecological façades, public layers, and vertical connections, allowing biodiversity, movement, and urban life to work together.
