Super block environment design around the station
The project is located on the edge of an industrial district in Sabadell, Barcelona. This area, adjacent to residential areas, suffers from a severe lack of infrastructure, such as shopping, entertainment, and dining. Furthermore, the area suffers from poor accessibility, low greenery, poor air quality, and a lack of open space. The project's vision optimizes access and infrastructure within the area, while also creating more open spaces for recreation and leisure. The project's form mimics Barcelona's square layout, with a gradual shift in height from the outside to the inside to ensure greater sunlight access. The use of materials, such as red brick, glass, and wood, consistent with the surrounding landscape, further harmonizes the project with its surroundings.
