In this project, we elevated Centenary Building’s cores above the roofline to form towers. And a new tower is introduced between the Centenary Building and the Church, thereby creating a rhythmic and visual connection that integrates the old and new structures into a cohesive whole. Moreover, we created a bridge that linking the building directly to the adjacent park, to enhance the building's connection with surroundings. The park will be transformed with lush greenery, various outdoor activity areas, and walking paths. In addition, we demolished part of the Adelphi Building to open a gap, establishing an intuitive line of sight to the river and strengthening the interaction with the natural landscape. Concurrently, we designed terraced landscapes on the foundation to bridge the 3.2-meter height difference with the lower site, providing convenient accessibility for the residents of the nearby lower residential buildings.

Concerning the design of the roof portion, we raised the roof in order to create more public space on the third floor and to improve the lighting of the atrium. The height of the roof is to be the level with the third-floor roof, which is unified the overall structure, and enhanced the sense of openness in the upper levels. At the same time, the shape of the voids in floors is extended to the corresponding position on the roof.It is ensuring spatial continuity between different levels. To further highlight these voids, sloped roofs were added as architectural features, which will guiding natural light deeper into the interior. These sloped roofs are going to carefully connected to form a continuous slope that covers the original roof, creating a coherent architectural gesture that integrates functionality with a distinctive spatial character.
