Redefining Regeneration

Welcome to the future. Our future. The current trend in modern development, contemporary architecture and by extension, urban regeneration has but one product. The Generic City. A homogenous city, of middle-class compliance and contented disquiet. The disruptors see us and the disorderly by-products of dwelling as a disease. A diseased limb of the city, to be severed and grown anew. There is an alternative - a respectful regeneration.

This project explores the necessity, the efficacy of disorder in the modern metropolis. The framework established uses non-conventional architectural and artistic methodologies to redefine regeneration, a regeneration not of swathes of fabric but cell by cell. The focal point of this exploration is the home. The co-creation of home and occupant explores how the very act of dwelling can have far reaching impact, from the domestic realm all the way to the city scale.
