Livu Square Market Hall Complex Project
This project is located in Livu Square, in the heart of Riga’s Old Town. It reinterprets the traditional market typology by vertically integrating functions such as fresh food trading, exhibition, dining, theatre, and co-working, forming a public space that is accessible year-round, usable throughout the day, open to the city, and respectful of historical context. Through operable door panels, a double-layer perforated aluminum façade, and vertical zoning of above- and below-ground spaces, the building adapts to seasonal changes and becomes a vibrant spatial container that coexists with the city’s urban fabric.
