Civil engineering, the major of my college time, has close connections with architecture. A civil engineer is responsible for constructing building according to the designing drawing of architects. Of course, my learning of various courses related to civil engineering is helpful for me to understand architecture in a better way. Out of strong interest, I often audited architecture courses in spare time, thereby harvested lots of necessary knowledge and skills. Although just an auditor, I have made design for many students majoring in architecture who sought help on the web. In this process, it came to my awareness that most students I have helped lacked aesthetic thinking, simply emphasizing completing tasks or realizing functions. China's traditional education model contributed to this situation.After that, I completed a master's degree in architecture at Manchester School of Architecture. I hope I can achieve something in the field of architecture in the future.
