The Colvin Prize is awarded annually by The Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain (SAHGB), in recognition of outstanding contributions to the field of architectural history.

Arnold’s work brings together reflections from leading female architectural historians on their scholarly practices and the influence these have had within the discipline. The volume offers a powerful critique of the ways in which feminine subjectivities have been embodied in the discourses of architectural history, and the critical role they play in shaping architectural discourse.

Jaideep Gupte, Director of Research, Strategy and Innovation at the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), praised the publication as:“An outstanding achievement which underscores the power of critical reflection on gender and historiography in architecture. A heartfelt shout-out to everyone involved in such an important and compelling collection.”
