The Soul of the Soil: rural recovery centre in post-war Ukraine

I’m passionate about shaping places that foster resilience, care, and connection—particularly in communities facing social or environmental challenges. My interests lie at the intersection of architecture, planning, and regeneration, where design becomes a means to support people, restore land, and rebuild futures with intention. I see architecture not only as a spatial discipline but as a platform for social infrastructure—enabling access, dignity, and long-term wellbeing.

Rooted in regenerative design principles, my work explores how we can build with sensitivity to both human and ecological systems. I am especially drawn to regional development, town and rural planning—fields that offer opportunities to address deep structural inequalities and bring meaningful change to under-supported or post-crisis areas. My recent project, a rural recovery centre for war-affected Ukraine, reflects these values: combining adaptive farming, vocational training, and local knowledge into a model for community-led renewal.

I’m motivated by work that bridges disciplines, prioritises long-term impact over short-term output, and embraces complexity. Whether through policy frameworks, participatory design, or landscape-scale planning, I want to contribute to environments that are equitable, sustainable, and rooted in place. I’m looking to grow within teams that are mission-driven and collaborative, where social purpose and design innovation go hand in hand.
