Study outside the classroom

The location of this project is in Beijing, China, and it mainly focuses on the formalization problems in secondary education.

Different subjects are intended to train students' different thinking. However, students can only carry out similar learning activities in the same classroom format. This not only greatly reduces the teaching effect but also inhibits students' interest in the subject.

Therefore, after learning the educational concepts of Emilia Reggio and Forest School, I attempted to propose a solution to this kind of formalistic education, that is, to break away from the formal limitations of the classroom and have students carry out learning activities spontaneously.

Based on the analysis of the dismissal trajectories of students in the target middle school, I successively selected the campus square, the urban park, and the affiliated park of the school as the project carriers, designed the teaching methods for some compulsory subjects for students, and provided corresponding Spaces for students in these venues.
