More Than Just a War
I design to honour cultures too often overshadowed by conflict, revealing their vibrancy and depth. As a Sudanese woman, I draw on Middle Eastern and North African aesthetics to centre BAME women in spaces shaped by symmetry, softness, and strength.
This project represents a personal act of storytelling and reclamation. Informed by lived experience, it challenges reductive narratives of Sudan by highlighting its culture, resilience, and beauty. With a strong interest in visual communication, I engage with architecture as a graphic and spatial language, one that allows me to express ideas more powerfully through images than words. This work creates space for connection, creativity, and healing, honouring identity while celebrating Sudanese heritage within a wider community.
