The Thermae Bath Spa sits between its listed Georgian neighbours, a curved glass skin cloaking the golden Bath stone-clad cube, pierced with tiny portholes.

After the controversial construction sequence it is now time for the completed project to redeem itself, the overall design ties together a touch of the Roman classical and Georgian grandeau while its massive contemporary columns, combined with the whole controversy, is effective in rooting it in Bath's history.
