Laura has a range of experience in practice, teaching and research. She has held positions at The University of Sheffield and Birmingham City University as well as spending a number of years in practice.

Laura's research interests are principally concerned with the implications of policy and regulation for architectural and urban form. From this interest, Laura's areas of research, spanning both historical and contemporary domains, include: the implications of policy and regulation for architectural practice; the relationship between regulation and design processes, and; the implications of policy and economics for cultural production and representation in the contemporary built environment.
