The London 2012 Legacy Delivery Company, now the OPLC, was set up by order of Mayor Boris Johnson in February 2009. It is charged with the task of ensuring that Olympic infrastructure is matched with cost-effective post-Games usage, with a particular responsibilty for the Olympic Park. This park includes the Olympic Village and 102 hectares of open space. The chairwoman is Baroness Margaret Ford.
