1. Animations

The animations in this section represent the work of third-year BArch students in MSA created during the academic year 2008/2009.

Each is concerned with a particular case study and seeks to visually trace and depict the primary actors and concerns in each, connecting them with the design, planning, construction, and post-occupancy phases.

London 2012 is concerned with the legacy options of the London 2012 Olympic Games venues in the east-end borough of Stratford. The animation embedded here traces the primary actors in the debate.

Cardiff Bay Opera traces the events leading to the planned but ultimately abandoned Opera House designed by architect Zaha Hadid.

The Geoffrey Chaucer college is scheduled for redevelopment in Southwark, London. The animation links actors with a timeline.

The Acropolis Museum case study is about a new museum built to preserve artifacts from the Acropolis in Athens. It features an animation combining actors with a timeline.
